we started our 'big eats' quest at zuni cafe.  brad surprised me with an awesome date night including friday night reservations at zuni.  (he must have forgotten that i was just finishing a 3 day juice cleanse and basically undid everything when i inhaled this enormous/amazing meal)  it was totally worth it!

if you are visiting san francisco and looking for a great meal - make a reservation at ZUNI.  just be patient if you want the chicken - they cook each one to order - it takes 60 minutes from the time you place your order - trust us - it is worth it.

big eats

every year san francisco's 7x7 magazine publishes a list of the 100 things to eat before you die...and every year brad and i print it out and post it on the fridge....and every year we never finish it! (and truth be told, we sometimes never start it)  but not THIS YEAR!  2012 - this is the year we eat all 100 items - you just watch.

so, it might take us a little over a year to finish - but we are committed.  we've already checked several off the list - we'll keep you posted and make sure you know ALL of our favorites.

we got married.

finally took the time to compile some of our favorite wedding pics into a video. we had such a fantastic day and wish we could do it again right now! since brad is the sweetest man alive...he and his brother brent serenaded me at our wedding dinner. this little video is set to the two songs they sang. i love them both!

this week for the wedding...

we have been fast at work on music for the wedding! needless to say this has been one of the bset parts of planning a wedding. in case you don't know this about me already...I LOVE MUSIC...and I love that brad loves that i love music! 9 times out of 10 i would rather listen to pandora or itunes than watch tv or read. in high school when everyone what watching 'friends' and 'er' or reading books assigned by teachers you could always find me making a mixed tape or reading anything and everything about the life and work of jim morrison! picking favorites is almost impossible - but there are a few songs that hold a special place in our hearts...here are a couple goodies you might enjoy.






{truth be told...after a long day at work - there is nothing better than playing this as loud as we can, mixing a drink and dancing in the kitchen! - how amazing is he? if i wasn't marrying brad...i would probably marry him}

this week for the wedding

our invitations came in the mail today!!! holy cow..we love them. we were lucky enough to have the super talented, amazingly creative jess at magpie paperworks custom design them just for us. not only are the invitations amazing - i'm dying over the way she packaged them. hope you like them as much as we do!

sorry we've been a little MIA....we've been busy wedding planning, camping, eating, moving my sister, visiting baby sidney...and lots of working! the only proof we have are a couple shots from my iphone {all of food of course!} now if we want to start properly documenting our life together we are going to need a picture taking device better than our iphones!

in our new effort to explore the 'east bay' brad arranged for a camping trip to mount diablo - it was awesome!

not to mention when you camp with brad...this is what your meals look like!
{tomato, avocado & swiss, vegi burgers - that's right!}last but not least I've been on a chips and guacamole binge for about 2 months - i can't get enough. so far rubio's wins for best presentation!

this week for the wedding

to be perfectly honest i haven't been able to focus on anything 'wedding' lately...but this week, i'm back! and all i can seem to think about is which pair of these pretty shoes i should wear on the big day {as a matter of fact i may have ordered several of them to try out next week} brad just bought a super cool pair for the event and i'm not about to let him out style me on this one! what's it's going to be?
