off the grid

brad & i are both heading out of town for work travel over the next couple weeks...i'm leaving tomorrow and i'm embarrassed to say that i think this is the longest period of time brad & i have gone without seeing one another. 3 1/2 weeks...i'm a little sad! {guess who's going where?}

this week for the wedding...

flowers! we had a couple meetings with some possible florists this weekend. now that we are getting down to the details i feel so unsure about what i want!! i think i am on inspiration overload {there are so many beautiful images out there, how can you decide on just one style?} today i think my style is preppy, vintage and eclectic - we'll see how long that lasts! i'm hoping that leaving the country for a couple weeks will help me clear my mind! in the meantime here a look at some images we shared with the florist.
what do you think?

the other love of my life

in case you didn't already know I am mildly obsessed with joshua radin....i love him! here is a little taste of what you are missing if you don't know this man. good thing brad likes him too since i am dragging him to our 3rd joshua radin concert on friday.

p.s. we loved him before he was famous! here is the proof - me, brad and joshua after the first time we saw him live at a small venue in san francisco

our wedding

the minute brad proposed i knew exactly what i wanted for our wedding....san francisco city hall...just me and him! {anyone who is reading this probably knows that i've done this whole wedding planning thing before - all i knew was that this time i would do everything differently - especially the part where i actually get married at the end of it all!}

so, turns out that brad vetoed city hall {and i think i am actually glad!} we have decided to have a VERY small wedding here in san francisco on september 17th 2011 - we're getting married in tiburon followed by dinner with our families and a few of our dearest friends. the most important thing i know is that this is about a marriage, not a wedding.

there is really nothing in the world that makes me happier than thinking about spending the rest of my life with brad. i could take or leave this whole wedding thing - all that matters is that in the end we're married.

in the meantime - for anyone that is interested {all 2 of you!} we'll try to keep you posted on all our happening right here on this blog.{old st. hillary's chapel - where we are tying the knot!}

really? vera wang for david's bridal?
aren't these dresses beautiful!

and they are all under $1300!

this week for the wedding...

in an effort to keep this whole wedding thing from taking over our lives, brad & i agreed early on to try and focus on things 'one week' or 'one month' at a time. we happen to be in the 'one week' faze at the moment! {we are just about done confirming most of our time sensitive vendors, once we get these last couple people booked we should be able to relax a little} in the meantime, this week has been all about CAKES!
here are a couple of our favorites.
we have a ton of tastings set up for Sunday - bottom line - we want a really, really, really yummy cake!
